A Mysterious Rise in Heart Attacks in Scotland
- October 01, 2021
Health officials in west Scotland are at a loss to explain why there was a sudden rise in heart attacks and blocked arteries during the summer of 2021.
“There was a 25% rise in the number of people rushed to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank with partially blocked arteries cutting blood supply to the heart,” The Times reported. Typically, the hospital sees around 240 patients with the condition in a given month, but this year that rose to 300.
While one cardiologist blamed the mounting heart problems in Scotland on an increased sedentary life and ignoring symptoms due to the COVID lockdown, no one in the article mentioned the COVID vaccines as a possible connection to the heart attacks or clogged arteries.
In the U.S., the CDC is monitoring reported cases of myocarditis and pericarditis after receipt of the vaccine.
